6" K-Style Gutters

Six inch K-style seamless gutter profile

A 6" K-style seamless system moves up to 40% more water than a standard 5" gutter. That margin is what keeps water in the trough when a metal roof dumps a storm all at once, or when a full winter's snowpack lets go over two warm days in March.

We install 6" systems across North Dakota, Idaho, Washington, and Minnesota, formed on-site from a continuous coil of heavy-gauge aluminum or steel just like our 5" runs. Same clean K-style profile, same seamless fabrication, deeper trough.

When to upgrade from 5" to 6"

A 5" K-style handles most average roofs. Look hard at 6" if any of these describe your home:

  • A large or complex roof, where more square footage feeds each downspout
  • A steep pitch or metal roof that sheds water fast enough to shoot over a 5" lip
  • Heavy rain or fast spring snowmelt in your area
  • Gutters that already sheet water over the front edge in a hard rain

The downspout pairing matters

The gutter is only half the system. A 6" trough draining through undersized 2x3 downspouts still backs up, because the outlet is the bottleneck. We pair 6" K-style with 3x4 downspouts as the standard and add outlets on long runs or large roof planes. A rule we use on-site: if you are going to 6" for capacity, you are going to 3x4 downspouts with it. During the estimate we count roof planes and downspout drops and size the whole water path, not just the trough.

Built and installed the same seamless way

Every 6" run is fabricated on-site to your roofline's exact measurements, so there are no seams along the length and no stock sections forced to fit.

  • Hidden hangers every 24 to 32 inches
  • Pitch set at 1/8" per 10 feet
  • Corners and miters hand-sealed with elastomeric sealant
  • Heavy-gauge aluminum or steel coil, 20+ color options
