Gutter Services / Replacement

Seamless Gutter Replacement

Gutters rarely fail all at once. They sag a little, then a seam starts dripping, then paint peels off the fascia behind them, and one spring you notice water standing against the foundation after every melt. By the time a system shows three or four of those symptoms, patching it is throwing money at metal that has already quit.

Replacement is our answer to that situation, and we treat it as a fresh design, not a swap. We tear off the old sectional runs, check the fascia they were hiding, and fabricate new seamless gutters on site, sized and pitched for how your roof actually sheds water. Old material goes on our trailer, not in a pile by your garage.

We replace gutters on homes and commercial buildings across western North Dakota, North Idaho, eastern Washington, and Minnesota's west metro. Most residential replacements are done in a day.

Signs It Is Time to Replace

One of these alone is usually a repair. Two or more together usually means the system is done, and we will tell you honestly which side of that line you are on.

  • Runs sagging or pulling away from the fascia
  • Leaks at multiple seams or corners, not just one
  • Rust or corrosion working through the metal
  • Overflow in ordinary rain, not just downpours
  • Peeling paint or soft, rotting fascia behind the gutter
  • Water standing against the foundation after rain or snowmelt

What a Replacement Includes

We remove the old gutters and downspouts completely and haul them away. With the fascia exposed we check for rot and flag anything that needs attention before new metal covers it, because a gutter screwed into soft wood will not stay up. Then the machine runs new seamless gutters to length, we hang them on hidden hangers at snow-country spacing, set the pitch, and fit new downspouts where the drainage plan says they belong rather than where the old ones happened to be. The finished system gets a full water test.

Repair or Replace, Straight Answer

Replacement is the bigger ticket, so we do not push it when a repair will hold. A single failed seam, a loose run of hangers, or one crushed downspout gets a repair quote. Widespread corrosion, seam failures across the system, or gutters that were undersized on day one get a replacement quote, because repairing those is renting time. We put both numbers in front of you when it is genuinely a coin flip.

The Right Time to Add Guards

Replacement day is the one time the whole system is open, measured, and fresh. Adding Alu-Rex guard protection then costs less labor than a retrofit later, and it means your new gutters start their life under a lifetime clog-free guarantee. We are the only Alu-Rex Certified Installer in your region, so the guards and the gutters go in as one engineered system.

How the Job Runs

  1. 01
    Inspect and quote

We look at the whole system and tell you plainly whether repair or replacement is the smarter spend, with a written quote either way.

  2. 02
Tear off and check the fascia

Old gutters and downspouts come down, and we inspect the exposed fascia for rot before anything new goes up.

  3. 03
    Fabricate and hang

New seamless runs are formed on site, hung on hidden hangers, and pitched to the outlets. Downspouts go where the water needs them.

  4. 04
    Water test and haul away

We flush the finished system, confirm flow at every outlet, and leave with your old gutters on our trailer.

Common Questions

01 How long do seamless gutters last?

Properly hung seamless aluminum commonly runs 20 to 30 years. Sectional systems fail sooner because every joint is a leak waiting on a freeze-thaw cycle. Hanger quality and pitch matter as much as the metal, which is why we do not skimp on either.

02 Can you replace just one side of the house?

Yes. If the rest of the system is sound we can replace a single run and match the profile and color. If the whole system is at the end of its life we will say so, because piecemeal replacement of a dying system costs more over three years than doing it once.

03 Do you haul away the old gutters?

Every time. Tear-off, removal, and disposal are part of the job. The only thing left behind is the new system.

04 What if there is rot behind the old gutters?

We find out before new metal covers it. Minor fascia issues we can often address during the job; bigger rot we document with photos so you can have it corrected properly. Hanging new gutters on rotten wood is a job we refuse to do.

05 Should I add gutter guards with the replacement?

If trees drop anything on your roof, replacement day is the cheapest time. The guards install as part of the same system, and as the only Alu-Rex Certified Installer in your region we back the result with a lifetime clog-free guarantee.
